Booking with Lakeland Holidays

 

Is cot linen supplied?

Travel cots are available for rent and are charged at five euro for the duration of your stay, however we don’t supply linen for our travel cots therefore you are required to bring your own.

 

Can I book a specific property?

We regret that we cannot in any circumstance guarantee a particular house to our guests at the time of booking. However we try our best. This is left to the local supervisor though we will of course be happy take a request for a property which will be noted against the booking.

 

How much is the deposit?

The booking deposit requested at the time of booking to confirm your reservation is €125

 

What if I have to cancel - do I get a refund?

The booking deposit of €125 is not refundable. See our terms and conditions for further details.

 

What are utilities?

Utility charges cover the use of electricity, gas and water in your holiday home during your stay. Each utility is connected via a meter and are read when you arrive and read again when you are departing the property. These charges are calculated on departure and added to your bill. Please ask the property supervisor how much we charge for these utilities when you are checking in.

 

What is a security deposit for?

A refundable security deposit of €100 must be paid on arrival. This is simply an insurance against damage or breakage in the property. It is fully refundable up to 7 days after departure, once the supervisor is satisfied that the property is in order and all utilities have been paid for. Please refer to our terms and conditions for further details.

 

Are Pets allowed?

Dogs are not allowed in properties without the expressed permission of the property supervisor. There is an extra cleaning charge of €25 when pets are accepted. We do allow guide dogs with their owners, and they can stay free. Definitely no alligators and lions though! Contact us here with your request.

 

How do I make a complaint?

In the unlikely event of a complaint, it should be brought to the attention of the site-manager immediately. Failing a satisfactory solution, you should contact Lakeland Holidays Ltd in writing at Lakeland Holidays Ltd, Management Office, Mountshannon, Co Clare. Complaints need to be sent in within 14 days of departure

 

 

About Our Holiday Homes

 

Are the properties suitable for children?

Children are very welcome at all of our properties; in fact self-catering accommodation is the perfect choice for families. There are plenty of kiddie friendly activities in the area.

 

What Facilities are there for children?

There are nearby kiddies playground & safe swimming areas and loads of cycling routes to explore. Watersports, fishing and a local pitch and putt course will keep them all busy and entertained.

 

Do you supply cots & highchairs?

Yes we do on request at the time of booking.

 

Do you supply stair gates?

No – we do not provide stair gates for insurance reasons, and it is up to the parents or guardians of small children to make arrangements about bringing their own if it is required in a property.

 

Do you provide bed linen?

We do provide bed linen. All of beds are supplied with a duvet, pillows and appropriate duvet covers and pillowcases.

 

Do you provide towels?

We provide towels for an extra charge of €3 per set, which is one bath and one hand towel. You must request and pay for these at the time of booking, or you may bring your own towels. Beach Towels are not available for hire.

 

Do you provide tea towels?

Yes, we provide one tea towel and a dish as standard.

 

Are there additional charges when I arrive at the property?

There are no extra charges on site excepting those already stated at the time of booking. However you may request extra towels or cleaning during your stay for which you pay the local supervisor.You will also need to pay for the Electricity, Water and Gas usage when you depart.

 

What TV channels are available in the property?

There is a range of popular Irish and International TV channels available in all Holiday Homes.

 

Is there car parking?

There is car parking facilities outside our Holiday Homes.

 

Is there local tourist information available at the property?

Local tourist information relative to the particular area will be available at each property and our local supervisor will be delighted to answer any queries you may have on local attractions and amenities.

 

Is there broadband access at the property?

Broadband is available in the Holiday Homes. If you wish to avail of the service please contact the supervisor prior to arrival on 061-571571. The Broadband service is charged at 25 Euro per week.

 

Is there a DVD in the property?

DVD’s are not available on request

 

Is there a hairdryer in the property?

Hairdryers are not available, so it is advisable to bring your own. If you are traveling internationally you can request one from the site supervisor who will provide one on request if available.

 

What does the Failte Ireland star rating mean?

Failte Ireland operates a star rating system from 1 – 4 for self-catering properties. Lakeland Holiday Homes are all 4 star rating and comply with the regulations set out by Failte Ireland to achieve these grades

 

How do I get there?

You will receive an email shortly before your arrival with a map and directions to Lakeland Holiday homes. You can also click here to see us on Google Maps and get your directions there. Or you can just dream your way to us. (Google Maps might be a little more reliable, and we take no responsibility for those dreamers!)

 

Arrival & Departure

 

What time can I arrive at the property?

Arrival times are between 4.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m at a property. This is to give our supervisor time to changeover the property after the last departure and prepare it for your arrival. Arrival times outside these hours may be possible, but strictly by arrangement with the local supervisor. Exceptionally late check-ins are subject to an extra charge.

 

At what time must I leave the property?

Departure time during peak periods, i.e. July and August is 10.00am to allow the supervisor adequate time to prepare for the next guests arrival at 4.00 p.m. If you need to leave earlier you must inform the supervisor. Departure times after 10.00 a.m. may be possible, but strictly by arrangement with the supervisor.

 

May I arrive outside the normal times?

Arrival times outside these hours may be possible, but strictly by arrangement with the local supervisor and late check-in fees may apply.

 

Do I have to clean the property when I am leaving?

We hope you will find the property clean and welcoming for your arrival. We look after the final clean before the next visitors, but expect our guests to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition on departure. All properties are inspected by the site supervisor and if extra / excessive cleaning is required this cost will be passed on. Please leave properties in a clean and tidy order that you would like to find them in.

 

Do I need to have my own transport?

It is highly recommended to have your own transport at our holiday homes.
